ANNUAL MEETING

Symposium on the Chemistry of Terpenes, Essential Oils and Aromatics (TEAC) is held annual meeting for development of discipline and contribution to the well-being of society and has the following attractive sessions.
• Essential Oil Chemistry
• Terpenoid Chemistry (naturally derived products, synthetic products, reaction mechanism)
• Biological Chemistry (biological activity, biocatalysis, biosynthesis etc.)
• Flavor and Fragrance Science (functional application, perfumery/manufacturing technology)
This symposium was established in 1957, whose first meeting was held at Kinki University (Kindai uniiversity) in Osaka , Japan. From that time on an annual meeting has been continuously held up to present, showing steady progress in the number of members and organizational management. In 2006 it celebrated the 50th anniversary and now we are enjoying further growth.
In recent years this symposium consists of not only researchers but also engineers, students, groups and companies in various fields of bioscience and biotechnology. We are making efforts to introduce the importance and usefulness of chemistry of terpenes, essential oils and aromatics to the public. Our present efforts are directed to the promotion of global activities through international debates and interactive communications among fellow researchers.
